Flexora develops innovative, ultra-thin and flexible sensor foils based on organic, printed electronics that serve as smart surfaces to monitor your equipment and infrastructure in real time.
This technology enables large-scale measurement of temperature, pressure, humidity, and other parameters for the first time – without complex installation or interference with existing systems.
What makes our technology unique?
Printed Electronics
At the heart of our technology is printed electronics. We use additive manufacturing techniques to apply electronic components directly onto flexible plastic films. The result: lightweight, thin, and flexible devices for a wide range of applications.
We rely on inkjet printing in a self-developed roll-to-roll process where we print onto flexible plastic substrates. This allows us to combine high throughput, low material costs, and freedom to change the layouts.
Thanks to low processing temperatures (< 200 °C), printed organic electronics are also significantly more energy-efficient than inorganic, silicon-based technologies. This energy efficiency makes our technology a more sustainable alternative.

What distinguishes Flexora sensor solutions from conventional individual sensors?
Flexora combines many measurement points on a flexible sensor film and reads them through one shared measurement box. This greatly reduces installation, wiring and system-integration effort. It makes large-area measurements economically viable where many conventional individual sensors would previously have been too complex or expensive.
When is a Flexora sensor solution particularly useful?
Flexora is particularly suitable when many sensor points are required across a large area. The solution is most valuable where the wiring, installation and integration effort of conventional individual sensors would otherwise make the measurement task uneconomical.
How are the sensor points read out?
The measurement points integrated into the sensor film are read together by a Flexora measurement box. Instead of wiring every sensor separately to its own measurement input, the sensor film connects numerous measurement points to one central measurement system.
Which interfaces are available for data transmission?
All Flexora measurement boxes can transmit data via Wi-Fi using Modbus TCP and MQTT. Wired Ethernet is additionally available in selected versions. Depending on the model, Modbus RTU or CAN may also be available. Support for PROFIBUS, PROFINET, EtherCAT and BACnet is currently under development.
How are the measurement boxes configured and the data displayed?
The Flexora dashboard software for Windows connects to the measurement boxes via Bluetooth. It receives, stores and visualizes measurement data and is used to configure the box, network connection and additional interfaces. Versions for Android and iOS are in preparation.
Is data transmission via a cellular connection possible?
Yes. For measurement projects or applications without a suitable network connection, Flexora can provide cellular connectivity to transmit measurement data to the Flexora Cloud.
When might Flexora not be the right solution?
If only one or two measurement points are required, a conventional individual sensor may be simpler and more economical. Flexora is designed primarily for tasks that need many measurement points or where conventional installation and wiring effort would be too high.
