Seamless Integration

With less than 500 μm thickness, Flexora sensor foils are flexible and allow for seamless integration into already existing systems.

Aera One is available in three standard lengths – 150 cm, 100 cm, and 50 cm – each with 7 temperature sensors. Additionally, there is the possibility to customize the length according to your needs.

The foils can be placed between areas you wish to monitor or applied directly to surfaces. For easy installation, use the integrated adhesive film simply by pulling off the protective layer. Alternatively, you can use magnets to mount the foils on magnetic surfaces.

What is included in the AERA ONE system?

AERA ONE is a complete temperature measurement system consisting of an AERA sensor film with seven temperature sensors and an AERA ONE IoT measurement box. In practice, AERA ONE is also sometimes used as the name of the associated measurement box or sensor film.

Which measurement tasks is AERA ONE suitable for?

AERA ONE is particularly suitable when several temperatures need to be measured over a relatively short section or when many spatially distributed measurement points are required across a larger area. The sensor films can be integrated quickly into existing equipment and products.

How are the seven sensors distributed on the AERA film?

On standard films, the seven measurement points are generally distributed evenly. On request, Flexora can adapt the arrangement to almost any technically feasible application-specific pattern.

How is an AERA sensor film installed?

The thin sensor film can be attached to a surface, placed between components or bonded using a self-adhesive backing. Depending on the surface and application, other fastening methods such as magnets are also possible.

Can AERA films be customized?

Yes. Film length, shape or width, sensor spacing and connection-cable length can be adapted to the application on request.

Can several AERA films be operated together?

An AERA ONE IoT measurement box accepts one AERA film. For applications using several films, Flexora is currently finalizing the soon-to-be-available AERA X measurement box. It can read up to ten AERA films and therefore up to 70 temperature sensors together.

Which interfaces does AERA ONE provide?

The IoT measurement box supports Bluetooth-connected dashboard software and data transmission through MQTT and Modbus TCP. Depending on the box version and project, further wired or wireless interfaces may be available. The exact configuration is described in the data sheet and can be coordinated for the project.

Can the AERA sensor film be reused?

A film that is inserted or attached using a removable method can generally be reused. After self-adhesive installation, reusability depends on the adhesive, surface and operating conditions.
