Measurement Campaign as a Service

End-to-end measurement services – from large-scale temperature mapping to process optimization

Would you like to capture temperature profiles across equipments or technical infrastructure to detect energy losses and thermal inefficiencies, improve process quality, or uncover optimization potential? Have the required measurements previously been too complex, too costly, or only possible at individual measurement points?

With the measurement campaign as a service, Flexora provides a complete measurement service that supports you from planning and installation through to the analysis of measurement results.

Our flexible sensor foils make spatial temperature profiles and their changes over time easily accessible. This enables you to identify hotspots, cold spots, thermal inhomogeneities, and process deviations at an early stage – across large areas, continuously, and without any intervention in your system.

What questions can be answered with the measurement campaign?

Large-scale thermal measurements can reveal temperature distributions that remain hidden when using traditional individual measurement points.

Our measurement service is particularly suited for companies looking to understand thermal relationships and identify optimization potential.

How our measurement service works

1. Project scoping and analysis

Together, we determine the objectives, application scope, and duration of your measurement campaign.

2. Measurement concept planning

Based on your application, we define the required number of measurement points, sensor layout, foil length, and positioning along the relevant path or surface, as well as the required data integration and interfaces.

3. Sensor foil installation

  • Fast, non-invasive installation using adhesive strips or magnets
  • Retrofit installation in just a few minutes, without interrupting production
  • No drilling, no welding, no wiring

4. Data acquisition over the agreed measurement period

During the agreed measurement period, temperature data is recorded continuously and transmitted via the data acquisition unit to your preferred system.

5. Analysis, results visualization, and review

All data from the temperature measurement campaign is processed, visualized, and analyzed in the dashboard for the monitoring period. The resulting measurement insights provide a reliable basis for decision-making and targeted optimization measures. We then discuss the findings and insights with you.

Frequently asked questions about Flexora measurement campaigns

From an initial feasibility test to a temporary investigation of a specific question: learn how a measurement campaign works and which service options are available.

What is a Flexora measurement campaign?

A Flexora measurement campaign is a time-limited measurement using many sensor points. Together with the customer, we determine which sensor solution, how many measurement points and what measurement period are appropriate for the specific question. Depending on the requested scope, Flexora supplies the measurement technology or additionally handles installation, data analysis and preparation of the results.

When is a measurement campaign useful?

A measurement campaign is useful when a specific question first needs to be investigated in practice. It can show whether Flexora technology is suitable for later integration or how measured quantities such as temperature or humidity are distributed across a larger area.

Can a measurement campaign serve as a test before permanent integration?

Yes. Companies can test Flexora technology on a selected use case before deploying the solution at further installations or integrating it permanently into products and processes. Technical suitability, insight and economic value can therefore be assessed using real measurement data.

Is a measurement campaign useful without a subsequent permanent installation?

Yes. Some questions require only a one-time or temporary investigation. For example, a measurement campaign can determine whether a cooling channel has a homogeneous temperature distribution. Once the question has been answered, the measurement technology does not need to remain permanently installed.

Which measurement-campaign options does Flexora offer?

Flexora first coordinates the measurement technology, number and arrangement of measurement points and measurement duration with the customer. For customer-side analysis, the technology is installed by either the customer or Flexora as agreed; the data is stored and evaluated in the customer’s systems. Alternatively, Flexora performs the installation, transfers the data to the Flexora Cloud, evaluates it according to the agreed question and presents the results in a report.

Who determines the measurement points and duration?

Flexora and the customer define the question and operating conditions together. Based on this, we recommend suitable products, the number and arrangement of measurement points and an appropriate measurement duration.

Are discounted measurement campaigns available?

Flexora can offer special conditions for selected measurement projects, particularly when a use case is of special interest to Flexora and the customer agrees to a coordinated use of the results for reference or marketing purposes. Such use takes place only after prior explicit agreement.

Which data do I receive?

You receive spatially and time-resolved temperature data for the entire measurement period. The sensor film measures the temperature distribution across the measurement area using multiple sensor points and reveals how thermal conditions change over time. This makes it possible to identify hot spots, cold areas, thermal inhomogeneities and process deviations reliably. All data is processed confidentially and according to current security standards.

Can I purchase the sensor solution after the measurement campaign?

Yes. After the measurement campaign, you can choose to take over the measurement system used or purchase a sensor solution optimized for your process. Together, we evaluate your requirements and recommend the appropriate solution.
